Trueline's client, a respected general contractor focused on multifamily housing projects across California, is seeking a Lead Superintendent to join their team in Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA. This onsite role will lead field operations for a mid-rise multifamily development, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a high-visibility project while working with a collaborative and experienced team.
What You'll Do as the Lead Superintendent:
- Oversee daily field operations for a 5-over-1 multifamily construction project
- Manage subcontractors to ensure work is completed on time and meets quality expectations
- Drive the project schedule, proactively identifying and resolving delays
- Coordinate trades, inspections, and deliveries to maintain efficient workflow
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and codes
- Enforce safety standards and lead regular safety meetings onsite
- Serve as the primary onsite leader and key point of contact for project stakeholders
- Mentor and support junior field staff, including Assistant Superintendents
Must-Haves as the Lead Superintendent:
- 10 years of experience as a Superintendent in multifamily construction
- Proven experience leading 5-over-1, podium, or mid-rise multifamily projects
- Strong ability to manage subcontractors and drive project schedules
- Deep understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, and field operations
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-Haves as the Lead Superintendent:
- Experience working on affordable housing projects
- Familiarity with Southern California building codes and permitting processes
- Track record of successfully delivering multi-phase developments
- OSHA certifications or additional safety training
