Trueline’s client, a prominent defense firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney with Construction Litigation and Labor Law experience to join their busy New York City practice group. What You’ll Do as the Associate Attorney:
Handle cases from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
Make court appearances and argue motions
Participate in depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences
Provide regular case status updates to clients
Must-Haves as the Associate Attorney:
Active license to practice law in New York
Minimum 3 years of experience in construction litigation or labor law defense
Familiarity with NYS Labor Law Sections 240 and 241
Solid trial preparation and case management skills
Excellent legal writing and research abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
Nice-To-Haves as the Associate Attorney:
Experience with insurance defense or defense-side construction claims
Prior work at a high-volume litigation firm
Familiarity with NYC-area courts and judges
