Trueline's client, a well-established and growing litigation firm with offices north and south of Boston, is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate to join their team in Quincy, MA or Danvers, MA. This role offers the opportunity to manage cases independently while working alongside a collaborative team on a mix of complex and day-to-day litigation matters.
What You'll Do as the Insurance Defense Associate:
Manage a full caseload of insurance defense and general litigation matters
Take and defend depositions
Draft and argue motions
Handle court appearances and case strategy
Work closely with experienced paralegals and support staff
Engage directly with clients and contribute to case outcomes
Support cases through resolution, with occasional trial involvement
Must-Haves as the Insurance Defense Associate:
Active Massachusetts Bar admission
4-7 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or general liability
Ability to independently manage cases from start to finish
Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
Experience with depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
Comfortable working in a client-facing role
Nice-to-Haves as the Insurance Defense Associate:
Trial experience or strong interest in courtroom work
Experience handling medical malpractice or complex injury matters
Ability to mentor or support junior attorneys
Interest in developing a book of business over time
