What You'll Do as the General Manager:
- Lead day-to-day operations across transportation, dispatch, yard, and material processing
- Optimize hauling logistics, routing, and scheduling to improve efficiency and margins
- Oversee production activities, including topsoil and aggregate processing
- Identify and implement process improvements across operations
- Partner with maintenance and parts teams to ensure equipment readiness and uptime
- Build and scale teams, equipment plans, and operational infrastructure
- Monitor performance metrics and drive cost control initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Act as a key leader in modernizing and growing the business
Must-Haves as the General Manager:
- 5 years of leadership experience in aggregates, topsoil, excavation, or similar industries
- Strong knowledge of material processing and earthwork operations
- Experience managing trucking logistics and high-volume transportation workflows
- Proven ability to lead teams and improve operational performance
- Hands-on approach with the ability to operate in both field and leadership environments
Nice-to-Haves as the General Manager:
- Experience integrating yard operations with transportation/logistics
- Strong business acumen with a focus on profitability and growth
- Background in scaling or improving operational systems
