Trueline’s client, a national defense litigation firm with deep experience, is seeking an Associate Attorney, Civil Litigation to join their team in West Los Angeles. This role offers the chance to handle a wide array of high exposure matters—like product liability and premises liability—in a hybrid work setting, all while receiving meaningful mentorship and hands on responsibility.
What You’ll Do as the Associate Attorney, Civil Litigation:
Assist in defending complex cases—such as product liability, wrongful death, warranty, premises liability, and similar high exposure actions
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents
Manage and respond to written discovery, take and defend depositions, and assist with trial preparation
Collaborate closely with supervising partners in case management, court appearances, and trial involvement
Own projects proactively and contribute to client delivery in a team oriented environment
Must Haves as the Associate Attorney, Civil Litigation:
Active California bar license
At least 3 years of civil defense litigation experience (including drafting, motion practice, written discovery, depositions, and trial preparation)
Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy abilities
Excellent multitasking skills and ability to meet deadlines
Confident interpersonal and presentation skills
Consistent record of high quality, proactive work
Nice to Haves as the Associate Attorney, Civil Litigation:
Prior exposure to or interest in high stakes litigation in product liability, premises liability, or wrongful death
Trial participation experience or eagerness to take on trial responsibilities
Business development or client origination interest or experience
