Trueline's client, an international law firm known for handling complex litigation, restructuring, and corporate matters, is seeking a Finance Associate to join their Corporate and Capital Markets team in Boston, MA. This is an opportunity for a junior associate to gain hands-on experience in sophisticated finance transactions while working closely with partners in a lean, collaborative team that offers early responsibility and strong mentorship.
What You'll Do as the Finance Associate:
Support lenders and borrowers in a variety of debt finance transactions, including asset-based lending, cash flow financings, mezzanine deals, and high-yield debt matters
Assist with structuring and documenting secured transactions, including lien perfection under Article 9 of the UCC
Contribute to debtor-in-possession financings and other matters related to restructuring and special situations
Work across teams to support related corporate and M&A transactions
Conduct due diligence, draft and negotiate transaction documents, and coordinate closing processes
Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on complex matters with direct client exposure
Must-Haves as the Finance Associate:
2-3 years of relevant law firm experience in finance, banking, or corporate transactions
Exposure to debt finance transactions and secured lending concepts
Admission to the Massachusetts Bar
Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-Haves as the Finance Associate:
Experience with asset-based lending, mezzanine financing, or high-yield debt transactions
Familiarity with restructurings, workouts, or special situations financings
Background in corporate or M&A transactions with some exposure to finance work
Interest in developing expertise in both finance and restructuring-related matters
