Trueline Talent’s client, a fast-growing multifamily developer-builder with over $150M in projects planned across Texas and New Mexico, is seeking a Multifamily Construction Estimator to join their team in El Paso, Texas. This role will play a key part in pricing, planning, and preconstruction efforts for multifamily projects, working closely with leadership, project managers, and vendors.
What You’ll Do as the Multifamily Construction Estimator:
- Lead quantity takeoffs, subcontractor bid reviews, and scope development for multifamily projects.
- Analyze project drawings, specs, and requirements to create accurate estimates and budgets.
- Assist in value engineering, vendor selection, and contract preparation.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and field teams to ensure alignment on scope and pricing.
- Maintain pricing databases, historical cost information, and bid documentation.
- Help prepare proposals, preconstruction deliverables, and internal reports.
Must-Haves as the Multifamily Construction Estimator:
- 5 to 10 years of experience estimating multifamily residential projects.
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle estimating from concept through GMP.
- Proficiency in Procore, AutoCAD, or other industry-standard estimating and takeoff software.
- Strong attention to detail, cost control acumen, and vendor relationship management.
- Solid understanding of vertical construction methods and multifamily-specific requirements.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
Nice-to-Haves as the Multifamily Construction Estimator:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with developer-led or design-build project teams.
- Knowledge of current cost trends in the Texas and New Mexico multifamily markets.
