Trueline's client, a highly respected regional law firm with a deep bench in sophisticated litigation, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Financial Services-focused practice in Madison, NJ. This role is ideal for an attorney who has handled complex financial disputes and wants to build a long-term platform within a collaborative firm that values both excellence and balance.
What You'll Do as the Commercial Litigation Associate:
Represent financial institutions, lenders, and related entities in complex commercial litigation matters
Handle disputes involving financial services, lending, title insurance, and related real estate issues
Manage cases from inception through discovery, motion practice, and resolution
Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive motions
Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy in sophisticated matters
Work directly with partners and clients while taking ownership of assigned cases
Collaborate closely with construction and commercial litigation teams as needed
Must-Haves as the Commercial Litigation Associate:
4-8 years of commercial litigation experience with meaningful financial services exposure
Experience representing financial institutions, lenders, insurers, or similar entities
Active admission to the New Jersey Bar
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage complex matters independently while contributing to a team-based practice
Nice-to-Haves as the Commercial Litigation Associate:
Experience with title insurance, lender liability, or real estate-related litigation
Construction litigation experience
Admission to the New York and/or Pennsylvania Bar
Demonstrated strength in motion practice and legal writing

Base salary range of $150,000 to $185,000
