What You'll Do as the Civil Litigation Attorney:
- Manage a caseload of civil litigation and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
- Handle pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, and court appearances
- Develop case strategy and provide thoughtful legal analysis
- Maintain strong client relationships and deliver responsive communication
- Collaborate with partners and fellow attorneys on complex litigation matters
- Participate in business development and client-facing opportunities as experience allows
- Meet billable hour expectations while maintaining high-quality legal work
Must-Haves as the Civil Litigation Attorney:
- Licensed attorney in New York State or ability to obtain admission
- 2 years of experience handling civil litigation matters
- Insurance defense experience
- Ability to independently manage files and move cases forward with minimal supervision
- Strong writing, research, negotiation, and courtroom skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
