Job Title: Vice President/Senior Vice President of Origination & Marketing - Americas
Job Summary: Ideally located in Florida or Texas, this role will report to the Chief Commercial Officer, covering the Americas. The ideal candidate will have an established network with airline fleet and treasury teams across the Americas, along with a proven track record in the origination, leasing, and remarketing of aircraft and engines. This role is a key part of our global marketing and origination strategy and will work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, technical, and executive leadership, to drive revenue through the strategic acquisition, leasing, and remarketing of aviation assets.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Will be responsible for aircraft and engine acquisition and remarketing across the Americas region.
- Focus on originating new business opportunities and managing existing client relationships.
- Develop solid relationships with airline senior leadership, fleet, and treasury teams.
- Placement opportunities for aircraft and engines coming off lease
- Originate Purchase and Lease opportunities for new and/or existing aircraft and engine equipment
- Third-party fleet management, remarketing, and technical services opportunities
- Lead internal Deal Team reviews for transactions across the Americas.
- Act as the initial facilitator between the airline's technical and legal team and their counterparts within the organization.
- Draft Term Sheets/LOI’s once potential deals are identified, liaising with the relevant personnel throughout this process.
- Conduct the LOI negotiation with the airline and involve, as required, the relevant parties on both sides to finalize LOIs.
- Support lease negotiations to conclusion, whilst selling the deal internally and contributing to the approval documentation required for approval of the transaction.
- Maintaining existing client relationships involving restructuring deals, negotiating lease extensions, and assisting with debt collections.
- Staying abreast of industry trends, developments, and sharing insights with the TrueAero team.
- Anticipating airline’s fleet planning needs and identifying other non-core business opportunities.
Required Experience:
- Degree educated, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in aircraft/ and or engine finance and leasing. With a successful track record and demonstrable experience in sales & marketing through different economic cycles, with either prominent aircraft lessor, financier, or within an airline’s aircraft trading group.
- Highly commercial, you will have first class business development abilities, decision making, and problem-solving skills, and a clear understanding of the contractual and technical aspects of aircraft marketing.
- With the ability to “hit the ground running”, adaptable and creative team player, you will have first class presentation and communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to operate effectively at all levels, internally and externally.
- The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines is crucial. You will be measured in your ability to make a quick and positive impact on the business. The flexibility to undertake simultaneously a variety of duties and additional responsibilities is important.
- The candidate will be highly motivated and ambitious, with strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of aircraft economics and the principles of the aviation industry.
- You will have a good understanding of a variety of cultures, be internationally oriented, and have good existing relationships with airlines and manufacturers, ideally in the region.
