What are the responsibilities and job description for the Escrow Officer position at True Title Partners?
True Title Partners | Lubbock, Texas | Full-Time, On-Site
Let’s be honest: not everyone understands the strange, wonderful world of title.
But you do.
You know that a great closing does not just happen because everyone signed in the right places. It happens because someone stayed ten steps ahead, caught the details, communicated clearly, solved problems before they became emergencies, and kept everyone calm when the transaction got a little sideways.
That is who we are looking for.
True Title Partners is hiring an experienced Escrow Officer to join our Lubbock team. We want someone who already understands the title and escrow process, takes pride in doing things correctly, and genuinely enjoys helping people reach the closing table.
Buying a home is a major milestone, and we believe the closing experience should feel like one.
At True Title Partners, we work hard to make every transaction seamless, transparent, accurate, and welcoming. We explain the details, communicate consistently, and create an environment where buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders feel comfortable and confident.
We take our work seriously, but we do not believe the experience has to feel stiff, confusing, or transactional.
We celebrate closings. We care about people. We pay attention to the small things. And we want our clients to leave feeling like they were taken care of, not processed.
As an Escrow Officer, you will manage residential real estate transactions from opening to closing. You will coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, underwriters, and the rest of our title team to keep every file accurate, compliant, and moving forward.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing escrow files from beginning to end
- Reviewing contracts, title commitments, lender instructions, and closing documents
- Preparing settlement statements and closing packages
- Coordinating with agents, lenders, buyers, sellers, and other parties
- Identifying and resolving issues before they delay closing
- Conducting professional, welcoming, and accurate closings
- Ensuring funds, documents, signatures, and recordings are handled correctly
- Maintaining compliance with title, escrow, and regulatory requirements
- Providing proactive updates so nobody has to wonder what is happening
- Creating a closing experience clients and referral partners remember for the right reasons
Previous title or escrow experience is required. This is not an entry-level position, and we are looking for someone who can step in with a strong understanding of the industry.
The right person will have:
- Previous experience working in title, escrow, or residential real estate closings
- Strong knowledge of the residential real estate transaction process
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple files and deadlines without losing your mind or your sense of humor
- Clear, confident, and proactive communication skills
- A genuine commitment to excellent customer service
- Experience working with real estate agents, lenders, buyers, and sellers
- Proficiency with title and escrow software systems
- A current Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain one
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree is welcome but not required
- Notice the one missing signature before anyone else does
- Believe communication can prevent most closing-day disasters
- Enjoy creating order out of complicated transactions
- Stay calm when the unexpected happens
- Care about both accuracy and hospitality
- Like working with a team that wants to build something better
- Understand that a closing is paperwork to us, but a major life moment to the client
We want to build teams that are responsive, dependable, enjoyable to work with, and known for delivering an exceptional closing experience. You will have the opportunity to work with a strong local team, build meaningful relationships within the Lubbock real estate community, and help shape the reputation of a company that cares deeply about doing things the right way.
If you have title experience, love the closing process, and want to work somewhere that values both excellence and personality, we would love to meet you.
