About the Role
As an A.V.P. Driver, you’ll use your own qualified SUV or crossover to deliver small to medium packages across our contracted service area. You’ll have independence on the road, a clear route, and the tools to do the job well.
Pay
- $2 a Stop (25 stops min guaranteed - no max amount)
- Part-time hours available, with full-time opportunities for top performers
Schedule and Location
- Typical hours: 11:00AM - 3:00 PM, with routes varying by daily needs
- Each day starts and ends in the same area - Kilmarnock
- Routes serve our contracted areas Kilmarnock
What You’ll Do
- Safely deliver packages to residential and select commercial customers along your assigned route
- Load, scan, and unload packages with a company-issued scanner, handling each one with care
- Navigate with the iPad we provide, which runs GroundCloud routing and route optimization
- Manage your time to meet daily delivery deadlines
- Give customers friendly, professional service and resolve questions promptly
- Follow all traffic laws and safety guidelines, and keep your vehicle clean and roadworthy
- Complete delivery records, vehicle logs, and required reporting accurately
- Work with your teammates and supervisors to keep operations running smoothly
What You Need
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and age 21 or older
- Clean driving record, with no more than one moving violation in the past three years
- Your own sedans, SUV, crossover, or pick up truck, model year 2012 or newer, clean inside and out and in good visual condition
- Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull packages up to 50 lbs and walk to customers’ front doors throughout your shift
- Strong customer service, communication, and time management skills
- Dependable attendance and punctuality, since your team and customers rely on you
- Flexibility to work weekends and non-traditional holidays based on business needs
- Comfort with handheld scanners and GPS navigation
- Professionalism and respect for the security and confidentiality of packages and customer information
Your Vehicle must -
- Be a sedan, SUV, mini van or pickup truck
- No cargo vans / box trucks
- 14 years old or newer
- Pickup truck bed must be covered and secured
- Currently registered and legally plated
- Valid auto insurance with proof available
- Vehicle identification information matches the registration and insurance
- Free of body damage / No broken or significantly cracked glass
- Clean, presentable exterior and interior
- Safe operating condition and manufacturer-recommended maintenance up to date
