True North Elkins Park Pediatrics is looking to add a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to the staff.
The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to children from infancy through adolescence. They will work closely with families and their supervising physician to ensure the health and well-being of patients, offering preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of various medical conditions by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Conducts thorough examinations of newborns and children to monitor growth and development.*
2. Diagnoses and treats illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries in children.*
3. Prescribes medications and administer vaccinations to prevent diseases.*
4. Provides guidance on nutrition, safety, and other essential health topics.*
5. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.*
6. Maintains accurate and detailed electronic patient records.*
7. Communicates effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's health and development.*
8. Participates in community outreach and education programs to promote child health.*
9. Maintains assigned work schedule to include on-call, weekend, evening, and coverage hours; works in-person at multiple locations, as assigned.*
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Masters in Nursing degree. Board certified / board eligible in Nursing. Valid CRNP license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania.

Driver’s License
DEA / State Board Certification
CPR Certification
Ability to possess and maintain the following clearances in accordance with State regulations (every five years):
PA State Criminal History
FBI Clearance for Department of Human Services
PA Child Abuse Clearance
