This position supports fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and quality repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician who values quality, consistency, teamwork, and continued professional growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavyduty trucks and trailers.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues.
- Complete DOT inspections and help ensure equipment meets safety and compliance standards.
- Accurately document repairs, inspections, and maintenance performed.
- Take ownership of assigned repairs and ensure work meets quality and safety expectations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Partner with drivers, service advisors, technicians, and shop leadership to keep work moving efficiently.
- 2 years of diesel or heavyduty maintenance experience in a fleet, dealership, or independent shop environment preferred.
- ASE TSeries certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain.
- Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and diagnostic capabilities.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and DOT inspection requirements.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus but not required.
