Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, exercise, and administering medications as directed
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through thorough sanitization and grooming routines
- Handle animals according to training requirements and individual personalities.
- Monitor animal behavior to identify signs of stress or illness and communicate observations to veterinary staff or supervisors
- Assist with pet boarding procedures, including check-in/check-out.
- Support outdoor activities such as walking dogs or supervising playtime in enclosed outdoor spaces
- Perform team lifting tasks when moving large or heavy kennel equipment or supplies safely
Requirements
- Previous experience working with animals such as veterinary experience, veterinary technician experience, pet sitting, or kennel experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog training, animal behavior, and handling techniques to ensure safe interactions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably while maintaining safety standards
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with pet owners
- Experience with pet grooming Not necessary but a bonus
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple responsibilities
- Passion for animal care combined with reliable attendance and a proactive attitude
