Duties
- Lead daily café operations during your shift, ensuring efficient service and a positive atmosphere
- Supervise and support team members, providing coaching on customer service, food handling, and POS procedures
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, food items, and snacks with precision and care
- Manage cash handling, POS transactions , and register reconciliation accurately
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food preparation and handling protocols as prescribed by ServSafe
- Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and cleanliness to ensure a well-organized workspace
- Address customer inquiries promptly, resolve issues professionally, and promote sales through friendly engagement
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of the food industry standards. Must have or obtain ServSafe Manager Certification
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a café or retail environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle cash handling and cashiering accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food preparation, serving techniques, and basic math for retail math calculations
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
