Job Type: Full-time or Part-Time, Hourly
Job Summary:
True Animal Vet is seeking an experienced and caring Kennel Technician to join our team. The Kennel Technician will be responsible for providing high-quality care and attention to our patients in the kennel area. The ideal candidate will have experience working with animals and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feeding, watering, and providing comfortable bedding for animals in the kennel
- Walking dogs to provide exercise and bathroom breaks
- Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and other animal areas
- Maintaining accurate and complete medical records using ezyVet software
- Monitoring the health and behavior of animals and reporting any concerns to the veterinary team
- Assisting with animal restraint during examinations and treatments as needed
- Providing basic grooming services such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Providing exceptional customer service to pet owners
- Performing other duties as assigned by the management team
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent or currently attending high school
- Experience or desire to work with animals, preferably in a veterinary setting
- Knowledge of animal behavior and basic health care needs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed with advanced notice
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with veterinary team members
- Passion for providing exceptional animal care and customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and protocols
