We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Benefits Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of insurance products and services and will be responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring the smooth administration of employee benefits programs, and fostering strong relationships with clients. In this role, the Benefits Account Manager will be the main point of contact for client inquiries, working closely with both clients and internal teams to deliver exceptional service, resolve issues, and ensure overall client satisfaction with their benefits offerings.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Benefits Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of insurance products and services and will be responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring the smooth administration of employee benefits programs, and fostering strong relationships with clients. In this role, the Benefits Account Manager will be the main point of contact for client inquiries, working closely with both clients and internal teams to deliver exceptional service, resolve issues, and ensure overall client satisfaction with their benefits offerings.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Act as expert employer resource and work closely with our sales team, co-brokers and referral partners.
- Manage annual benefit renewal activities including pricing of benefit programs, analysis of options, and illustration of proposed benefit plans
- Assist with specific benefit related tasks and projects, including but not limited to, renewal documentation, file updates, compliance related items, and meeting preparation
- Liaison with benefit carriers and vendors on issue resolution and monitoring benefits service levels for clients
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships. Schedule in person meetings at least 4 times per year.
- Strategize with clients on sales and renewals by analyzing and presenting to the client either by phone or in person.
- Communicate any industry changes including federal regulations, state regulations and carrier guidelines.
- Oversee quoting and spreadsheet presentations for all clients. Cross sell other product lines upon renewal.
- Manage open enrollment meetings, address benefit inquiries, and assist members with completion of paperwork.
- Complete new business and renewal carrier submissions while also executing all internal paperwork and procedures.
- Assist client service team as necessary with resolving any service issues
- Handle or delegate client inquiries regarding claims, enrollments, carrier guidelines, and applicable procedures.
- Take direction from Manager/Supervisor as needed. Other assignments or responsibilities as may be necessary.
- Travel to clients and to other Ascela offices required
- BA/BS is required
- 3-5 years insurance experience preferred
- NY Metro area location
- NY / NJ Life & Health licenses required
- Delaware and/or Pa License a plus
- Computer proficiency required – MS Office suite, Excel, Word and Power Point required, Salesforce CRM a definite plus
