Overview
Local delivery driver responsible for loading and unloading freight using a pallet jack or other powered material handling equipment.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- Start time: Approximately 7:00 AM
- End time: Until route/load is completed
- Home daily except when covering as a relief driver (approximately 25% OTR)
Compensation:
- Salaried position: $65,000–$80,000 annually
- Salary based on years of hazardous materials driving experience
Responsibilities:
- Local LTL deliveries with multiple stops per day
- Touch freight with liftgate deliveries
- Operate a mixed fleet of automatic transmission trucks with trailers up to 53’
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 1 year of hazardous materials driving experience (required)
- Hazmat endorsement
- Forklift experience
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Clean background with no felony convictions
- Must be able to pass an extensive background investigation to gain access to defense contractor facilities
