Trubot Inc. is hiring a hands-on Robotics Hardware Technician to support robot manufacturing, assembly, troubleshooting, and field deployment of robotic and automated systems used in the mission-critical customer environments.
This role is execution-focused and field-oriented, working closely with engineering teams to ensure systems are properly built, assembled, installed, maintained, and operated reliably at the customer sites.
What you’ll do
- Support robot manufacturing and production builds, including sub-assembly, final assembly, and quality checks
- Perform mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and system integration in both lab, factory, and field environments
- Install and deploy robotic and automated equipment on-site
- Support commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Assist with upgrades, component replacements, and field modifications
- Document manufacturing procedures, build status, deployment and service activities
- Travel to customer sites as needed (up to 30%)
What we’re looking for
- 5 years of hands-on experience with physical robotic systems, automation equipment, or complex electromechanical systems
- Strong mechanical skills with working knowledge of electrical systems (wiring, connectors, sensors, actuators)
- Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation guides
- Comfortable working in lab, factory, and customer field environments
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a strong team mindset
Nice to have
- 8 years hands-on experience building, deploying, commissioning, or servicing AMR/AGV or complex automation systems
- Proven experience supporting robotic or automated systems in mission-critical facilities, with high availability and strict safety and operational controls
Note: This is not a hardware design role — it’s a practical, hands-on position for someone who enjoys building, fixing, and deploying real robotics systems.
