Dispatcher – Day Shift
Pay: $20–$25/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: Portsmouth, VA
TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Dispatcher for a logistics operation in Portsmouth, VA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of logistics experience, with a strong background in intermodal shipping and drayage operations.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and dispatch transportation for shipments
Enter and process customer orders accurately
Track shipments and provide timely updates
Handle inbound customer calls and inquiries
Assist with resolving customer concerns and finding solutions
Coordinate the movement of intermodal containers
Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams
Maintain accurate shipment and dispatch records
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of logistics experience
Experience with intermodal shipping/logistics
Experience with drayage operations
Strong order entry and order processing skills
Experience with shipment tracking
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Drayage experience is required.
