What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Housekeeper/Room Attendant position at Tru By Hilton?
We are currently looking for Part-Time Housekeepers. Within the next month or so, there will be full-time hours available.
The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in guest rooms and common areas of the hotel. This position maintains a clean, sanitary, comfortable and tidy environment for our hotel guests.
Essential Job Functions:
- Cleans rooms in accordance to specific brand and company minutes per room standard
- Cleans guest rooms, including guest bathrooms and kitchen area if applicable, according to company and franchise standards including, but not limited to: making beds; emptying wastebaskets; moving furniture; hanging drapes; sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; and dusting furniture
- Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses, writing, bathroom supplies, and linen
- Deep cleans areas as directed by supervisor including, but not limited to: cleaning rugs, upholstered furniture, and draperies; washing walls, ceilings, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area
- Replaces light bulbs
- Takes responsibility for pass key and makes sure it is turned in daily
- Immediately turns in all "lost and found" items to supervisor
- Immediately reports any damaged or missing items in room
- Responsible for cleaning of all common areas, including: corridors, guest areas, services areas and linen closets
- Performs necessary functions of laundry room including, but not limited to: ensures laundry facilities are kept clean and properly stocked with supplies, operates washers and dryers properly, sorts linens for washer, folds all linens properly, and handles all laundry chemical products properly
- Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
- All other duties as assigned

Education and experience:
- High school diploma
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs. and work with cleaning chemicals. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours.
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
