Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing.
• Use cleaning equipment and detergents effectively while adhering to safety protocols for manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Maintain floor care through sweeping, polishing, carpet cleaning, and floor surface maintenance.
• Manage outdoor work responsibilities including patio or outdoor space cleaning as needed.
• Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning requirements and provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure all cleaning surfaces are sanitized thoroughly, including bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Organize cleaning supplies and equipment for efficient use during shifts.
• Follow time management practices to complete tasks within designated schedules while maintaining quality standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or janitorial cleaning with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning, and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents and chemicals used in sanitation processes.
• Excellent manual handling skills for heavy lifting and outdoor work tasks.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients.
• Experience in laundry operations and managing custodial responsibilities.
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Previous housekeeping management or supervisory experience is a plus.
