We’re looking for a skilled CNC Operator to support our manufacturing team in producing precision components for custom architectural systems. This role is hands-on and plays a key part in both machining and assembly, ensuring every component meets exact specifications and integrates seamlessly into final products.
What You’ll Do
Operate CNC Machinery: Set up and run 3-axis CNC vertical milling machines to mill, drill, and shape aluminum extrusions.
Execute Precision Fabrication: Perform cutting, notch-work, and prep-work on high-value materials used in custom window and door systems.
Support Assembly Processes: Assist with mechanical assembly of machined components, including hardware installation and weather stripping.
Read Technical Drawings: Interpret architectural blueprints, shop drawings, and CAD layouts to ensure accurate machining and assembly.
Ensure Quality Standards: Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances and perform final fit checks.
Maintain Equipment: Monitor tooling, perform routine maintenance (coolant, oil, etc.), and ensure machines are operating efficiently.
Improve Processes: Collaborate with the Production Manager to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce material waste.
Follow Safety Protocols: Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to OSHA and company safety standards.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone detail-oriented, hands-on, and experienced in precision manufacturing.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or shop environment
- Strong experience operating 3-axis CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Experience with aluminum extrusions or architectural systems is a strong plus
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Mechanical assembly experience preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy materials
- CNC certification is a plus, but not required with solid hands-on experience
