Our client, North America's top GC, is seeking an Estimating Director to lead the administration and execution of all estimating activities, processes, and deliverables for multiple Business Units (BU) or a single Division.

Responsibilities
- Administrates and executes all estimating activities, processes, and deliverables for multiple BUs or a Division
- Manages workload across all business units within the division
- Determines manpower needs and manages hiring process for estimators within the division
- Responsible for the career development and coaching of team members
- Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
- Interprets and translates the organizational strategy, ensuring team understanding of their role in accomplishing strategic goals
- May be required to assist with tasks typically assigned to more junior positions
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 20 years relevant experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to lead multiple estimating departments across multiple BUs or a division
- Collaborative and able to reconcile estimating assumptions with designers and owners
- Ability to lead the estimating process and deliverable for projects throughout the design phase
- Ability to present estimating deliverables (internally and externally); participates in interviews during the pursuit phase
- Ability to conceptually estimate projects with limited information
- Ability to estimate multiple facility types such as residential high rise, healthcare, interiors, and institutional
- Ability to estimate within multiple delivery methods (CM@R, DB, IPD, etc.)
- Ability to maintain strong working relationships with industry partners (owners, designers, subcontractors, etc.) for the development of estimating deliverables
- Researches and maintains market trends (material, equipment, lead times) relating to estimating efforts
Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
For (New York) this ranges from $250,000-$325,500 plus benefits and retirement program.
