Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and sew fabric, vinyl, leather, and other materials
- Upholster new furniture utilizing a staple gun, glue, and hand tools.
- Operate industrial sewing machines and upholstery tools
- Read and interpret work orders, patterns, and specifications
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
Qualifications:
- Previous upholstery or industrial sewing experience required
- Ability to use hand tools to stretch and staple fabric to wood bases.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to lift and maneuver furniture as needed
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Pattern making or cutting experience
