Job Title: Master Production SchedulerDepartment: Operations / ProductionSalary: $70,000 – $90,000Position OverviewA growing precision manufacturing company is seeking a Master Production Scheduler to manage and execute the organization’s master production schedule across multiple departments. This role is responsible for balancing customer demand, machine capacity, labor availability, and material readiness to ensure consistent on-time delivery.The position serves as a key coordination point between engineering, purchasing, production, customer service, and shipping, ensuring schedules are accurate, achievable, and aligned with operational priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & SchedulingDevelop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules across multiple manufacturing departmentsBalance workload based on machine capacity, labor availability, materials, and outside servicesReview newly released jobs to confirm BOMs, routings, and lead times before schedulingManage schedules within an ERP/MRP system (JobBoss or similar)Sequence jobs to optimize workflow across machining, fabrication, stamping, and assembly operationsProduction MonitoringTrack shop floor progress and adjust schedules to maintain delivery commitmentsIdentify production bottlenecks and capacity constraintsAdjust schedules in response to machine downtime, material shortages, engineering changes, or shifting prioritiesEnsure teams are working on the highest priority jobs to support on-time deliveryCross-Functional CoordinationAct as the scheduling liaison between engineering, estimating, purchasing, production, outside services, customer service, and shippingCommunicate schedule priorities, updates, and risks to stakeholdersCoordinate with purchasing to align material availability with production plansProvide order status and lead time updates when requiredReporting & Process ImprovementTrack key metrics such as schedule adherence, on-time delivery, capacity utilization, and throughputSupport continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiativesAssist with lead-time analysis for quoting and process improvements within the ERP systemQualifications3–5 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or production control within a manufacturing environmentExperience using ERP/MRP systems (JobBoss or similar)Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows such as machining, metal fabrication, stamping, or assemblyStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environmentProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general ERP systemsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field preferredAbout Trova Advisory GroupTrova Advisory Group specializes in delivering a comprehensive array of staffing solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of businesses across multiple sectors.
