About the Role

As Controller, you'll oversee all day-to-day accounting and finance functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across our financial processes. You will act as a trusted partner to operations and plant leadership, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that support informed decision-making. Your leadership will ensure our financial integrity, enabling our mission of delivering quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, from transactional functions to month-end and year-end closes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Prepare, review, and present monthly financial statements such as profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll accounting, and manufacturing-related accounting activities.
• Monitor inventory, standard costs, variances, cost of goods sold (COGS), and other manufacturing cost accounting.
• Collaborate with operations and plant leadership to understand and analyze production costs, inventory levels, labor, and overhead expenses.
• Ensure timely and accurate account reconciliations, financial controls, and adherence to company procedures.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis to optimize financial performance.
• Provide clear financial reports, insights, and recommendations to the CFO and senior leadership team.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Proven experience managing accounting and finance operations, preferably within manufacturing or food industries.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Experience overseeing transactional accounting functions such as payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger.
• Ability to partner effectively across departments with excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience monitoring inventory, manufacturing costs, and variances.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis for operational decision-making.
