Trout CPA, a full-service certified public accounting firm, is seeking a Senior Associate in its Tax department. In this role, you’ll take greater ownership of tax engagements while continuing to build your technical expertise. You’ll prepare and review complex tax returns, identify planning opportunities, support client relationships, and help guide Associates through the preparation process.

In this role, you’ll take greater ownership of tax engagements while continuing to build your technical expertise. You’ll prepare and review complex tax returns, identify planning opportunities, support client relationships, and help guide Associates through the preparation process.
Major Responsibilities And Duties Include
- Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Manage tax engagements and help ensure accurate, timely client deliverables
- Research tax issues and identify opportunities to reduce clients’ tax liabilities
- Assist with tax planning, consulting, and tax provision work
- Review the work of Associates and provide guidance and feedback
- Communicate with clients and team members regarding tax matters and engagement expectations
- Bachelor degree in Accounting
- Three (3) to five (5) years of strong tax preparation experience preferably with a CPA firm
- CPA license or actively working toward licensure
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience with CCH Axcess or comparable tax software is a plus
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
