Website Rebuild Project Manager / Website Manager

Trossen Robotics

Full-Time | Downers Grove, IL

About Trossen Robotics

Trossen Robotics is building robotic platforms, developer tools, and data collection systems for the emerging Physical AI market. Our products are used by robotics researchers, AI labs, startups, universities, and enterprise R&D teams.

We are preparing for a major website rebuild. Our current site is built on Wix, but the company has outgrown it. The new website will be a more advanced CMS-driven platform that better supports product launches, technical content, documentation, SEO, lead generation, customer education, and long-term marketing growth.

We are looking for someone to take ownership of this project and drive it from concept to launch.

Position Summary

Trossen Robotics is hiring a Website Rebuild Project Manager / Website Manager to lead our full website overhaul under the direction of the COO and CEO/Founder.

This is primarily a project ownership and coordination role, not a hands-on web development role. We expect to use outside contractors for web development, SEO, and other technical implementation work. The person in this role needs to keep the project organized, define what needs to be built, coordinate internal stakeholders, manage contractors, track progress, and make sure the final website is completed correctly.

After the rebuild is complete, this person will stay on as the ongoing owner of the Trossen Robotics website, keeping it current as new products, videos, documentation, resources, campaigns, and company initiatives are launched.

Core Responsibilities

Website Rebuild Project Management

  • Own the website rebuild project from planning through launch.
  • Work directly with the COO and CEO/Founder to define priorities, scope, timeline, and deliverables.
  • Break the project into clear phases, tasks, deadlines, and decision points.
  • Keep internal stakeholders, designers, contractors, and SEO vendors aligned.
  • Run meetings, track action items, document decisions, and follow up relentlessly.
  • Identify blockers early and push the project forward.

Design and Planning Coordination

  • Help organize the in-house website planning and Figma design process.
  • Turn leadership direction, mockups, and rough ideas into clear page requirements.
  • Make sure each major page is defined in enough detail for a contractor to build.
  • Coordinate feedback on layout, navigation, page structure, product presentation, calls to action, and content needs.
  • Help ensure the website feels consistent across homepage, platform pages, product pages, developer pages, support pages, and landing pages.

Contractor and Vendor Management

  • Manage the outside website development contractor.
  • Help prepare scopes of work, requirements, feedback documents, and handoff materials.
  • Review contractor timelines, deliverables, staging links, and completed work.
  • Coordinate feedback rounds between Trossen leadership and outside vendors.
  • Make sure the site is built in a way the company can maintain after launch.
  • Coordinate with an SEO specialist during and after the rebuild.

Website Content Population

  • Lead the process of filling the new website with real content.
  • Organize product information, copy, images, videos, specs, downloads, documentation links, forms, and calls to action.
  • Work with marketing, sales, engineering, support, and leadership to gather missing information.
  • Make sure pages are accurate, complete, polished, and ready for launch.
  • Maintain consistency in product names, messaging, terminology, and technical details.

Ongoing Website Ownership

After launch, this role becomes the primary owner of the Trossen Robotics website.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Keeping product pages, specs, videos, graphics, downloads, and forms up to date.
  • Publishing new pages, landing pages, product launches, blog posts, resources, and support content.
  • Coordinating website updates with marketing campaigns, trade shows, product releases, and sales initiatives.
  • Working with SEO contractors to improve search visibility.
  • Monitoring website quality, broken links, outdated content, and user experience.
  • Keeping the website organized as the company grows.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a strong project manager who can take a large, messy, important project and turn it into an organized execution plan.

They do not need to be a web developer. They do need to understand enough about websites, content, design review, contractors, and marketing to manage the process intelligently.

This person should be detail-oriented, persistent, organized, and comfortable working directly with company leadership in a fast-moving technical business.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong project management experience.
  • Ability to manage contractors, vendors, timelines, feedback cycles, and deliverables.
  • Excellent organization and follow-through.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Comfortable turning rough direction into clear tasks and requirements.
  • Ability to work with executives, designers, marketers, engineers, and outside contractors.
  • Good judgment around website content, layout, navigation, and customer experience.
  • Comfortable managing many moving pieces at once.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience managing a website rebuild, website launch, CMS migration, or marketing project.
    • Familiarity with Figma, CMS platforms, SEO, analytics, or website content management.
    • Experience working with technical products, B2B marketing, robotics, engineering, SaaS, industrial, or hardware companies.
    • Experience coordinating outside developers, designers, SEO contractors, or marketing agencies.

    What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means the website rebuild does not drift, stall, or become a loose collection of disconnected contractor tasks.

    The right person will:

    • Keep the project organized and moving.
    • Make sure the website is clearly defined before development begins.
    • Coordinate contractors without letting details fall through the cracks.
    • Drive the content population process to completion.
    • Help launch a professional, accurate, scalable website.
    • Become the long-term owner of the website after launch.
