Job Summary
As the Manager of a vibrant Tropical Smoothie Cafe, you will lead a dynamic team in delivering exceptional customer experiences while ensuring the smooth operation of our café. Your passion for food service and hospitality will shine as you oversee daily operations, manage staff, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality. You will play a pivotal role in creating a fun and energetic atmosphere that keeps our guests coming back for more!

What you’ll do

• Lead and inspire your team to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a positive work environment.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
• Utilize Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for efficient cash handling and transaction processing.
• Train and develop staff in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures to enhance team performance.
• Conduct interviews and hire new team members who align with our café’s values and culture.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards to provide a safe dining experience.
• Manage shifts effectively, ensuring all areas of the café operate smoothly during peak hours.

Basic qualifications

• Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and culinary practices.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly desirable.
• Background in fine dining or casual dining settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management in a restaurant context.
• Previous experience in training & development initiatives for staff members.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
