Position Summary
The Range Attendant is responsible for delivering a first-class practice facility experience for members and their guests. This role ensures the driving range, short game areas, and practice facilities are consistently maintained, fully stocked, and presented to the highest standards.
This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and service-driven environment where members feel taken care of from the moment they arrive.
Core Responsibilities:
Practice Facility Operations
• Set up and maintain the driving range daily, including placement of bags, baskets, and alignment of hitting areas
• Pick, clean, and restock range balls throughout the day to ensure consistent availability
• Rotate hitting stations and manage turf wear in coordination with Golf Course Maintenance
• Maintain short game areas, chipping greens, and putting greens to club standards
• Ensure all practice amenities (tees, towels, water stations, etc.) are fully stocked and clean
Member & Guest Experience
• Greet members and guests promptly and professionally upon arrival
• Anticipate needs and proactively assist with practice setup (clubs, baskets, etc.)
• Maintain a “Yes is the answer” service mindset in all interactions
• Communicate clearly with the Golf Shop regarding member activity, events, or special requests
Facility Standards & Presentation
• Uphold the club’s standards for cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation at all times
• Ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained
• Report any issues related to turf conditions, equipment, or safety immediately
Qualifications:
• Prior golf course or practice facility experience preferred, but not required
• General knowledge of the game of golf strongly preferred
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
• Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (range baskets, equipment, etc.)
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
