What are the responsibilities and job description for the Esplanade Café Barista / Café Server position at Troon?
- Welcomes members in a friendly and timely manner.
- Take member food and drink order in a timely manner.
- Ensure Food and Beverage orders are made correctly and consistently in a timely manner.
- Ensure Food and Beverage orders are delivered with the appropriate vessel or plate (to go in proper vessel).
- Ensure food and beverages are delivered correctly and in a timely manner.
- Ensure you are well versed with menu offerings.
- Deliver a brilliant and positive experience.
- Keep your work and sections tidy and organized.
- Work as a team with other team members to ensure overall member satisfaction.
- Ensure the Café is set up and ready to go before the Café opens.
- Ensure at the end and the beginning of the shift all opening and closing side work is complete to set up the current and next shift for success.
- Must comply with all required state regulations as it pertains to food and beverage handling.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in all F&B areas

Complete opening and closing checklists.

Ensure you arrive to work at the appropriate scheduled time in a full, clean uniform.

Attend and participate in F&B department meetings and other periodic employee meetings.

Plan, organize and manage daily activity.

Conduct daily walk through of your area / section to ensure the facility is safe and presentable.

Protect the assets of the facility.

Operate within the guidelines, policies, standards and constraints as established by Esplanade at Tradition HOA, Troon Management and Esplanade Resort experiences.

Maintain a current Food Handlers Certificate.

Maintain a current Responsible Vendor or TIPS Certificate.

Ensure orders and inventories for all products are placed correctly and in a time manner to ensure we have the products to produce our menu

Perform other duties as assigned.

- Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least one year of experience required in a similar environment or restaurant as a server.

Consistently working in an indoor environment (95%) of the time.

Potential exposure to weather conditions while serving guests outdoors.

Work area may be crowded and noisy.
-
Makes frequent trips to kitchen, where air may be moist, warm, and odorous from preparing foods.

Cafe floor may be slippery from moisture and grease.

Sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and or solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays; must be flexible to work evenings/shift schedule based on Member demand.
