Job Summary:
The Café Attendant is responsible for the “Grab and Go” food and beverage preparation in the café by properly operating all café equipment as well as maintaining the highest possible food quality and guest satisfaction. They assist in maintaining a clean and pleasant café environment within the café and in the seating areas as well
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stock and maintain all “Grab and Go” menu items.
- Operate cash register and properly maintain a balanced drawer.
- Interact directly with guests and provide excellent guest service.
- Prepare and serve beverage and coffee orders.
- Basic cleaning and maintaining front counter area.
- Keep condiments and paper products stocked and organized.
- Complete the closing or opening checklist each shift.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Serve Safe Certified
- Basic computer skills
- Exceptional guest service skills
- Basic math skills
- Food service experience required
- Must have flexible and open availability
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to maintain all kitchen standards
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Some lifting and the movement of moderate loads require a 30-pound lifting requirement.
- Responsible for utilizing kitchen equipment. The effective operation of equipment requires the use of all limbs, fingers and the ability to see.
- Spends approximately 90% of his/her time standing and walking swiftly, therefore, he/she must have the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and move freely using all limbs and seeing at close/long distances.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
- High degree of social interaction with Staff and Guests.
