Chateau Elan Resort is seeking an energetic and service‑focused Tennis Camp Counselor/Front Desk Attendant to support our tennis and recreation programs. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, engaging with guests, and contributing to a fun, active, and guest‑centered tennis environment.
Position Overview
This versatile role blends guest services, youth camp leadership, and on‑court support. Team members may assist as a tennis camp counselor, front desk attendant, assistant teaching professional, and support basic court upkeep. The ideal candidate is friendly, adaptable, and enjoys working both indoors and outdoors in a resort setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Front Desk & Pro Shop Support
- Greet guests with a positive, welcoming attitude and provide exceptional customer service
- Manage schedules for tennis lessons, clinics, and camps
- Assist with tennis shop and pro shop retail sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and shop area
- Answer guest questions regarding programs, facilities, and resort offerings
Tennis Camp Counselor
- Lead and supervise youth tennis camp activities in a safe and supportive environment
- Engage campers through fun tennis drills, games, and group activities
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for children of all ages
- Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence on and off the court
On‑Court Instruction Support
- Assist teaching professionals with group lessons, clinics, and camps
- Help introduce tennis fundamentals, basic technique, rules, and game play
- Support players of varying ages and skill levels
Additional Duties
- Assist with basic court maintenance and preparation
- Perform other duties as needed to support tennis operations and guest experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Friendly, service‑oriented attitude with strong communication skills
- Ability to work with children and guests in a recreational setting
- Knowledge of tennis (and pickleball preferred)
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English for guest interaction and job duties
- Comfortable working as part of a team in a fast‑paced resort environment
Work Environment
- Frequently works outdoors in varying weather conditions
- May work in wet or humid (non‑weather related) environments
- Moderate noise levels typical of athletic and recreational settings
