Job Description
We are a multi-state creditors’ rights law firm seeking a strategic, results-driven Managing Attorney to lead our New York and New Jersey legal operations. Based in New York City, this role is ideal for an entrepreneurial legal leader with a strong background in litigation, compliance, and process improvement.
You will oversee a team of talented attorneys, build and refine operational workflows, ensure compliance with state and client regulations, and collaborate with cross-functional departments—including IT, contact center, and operations—to support a best-in-class legal practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of New York and New Jersey-based attorneys, fostering collaboration, high performance, and professional growth
- Oversee legal operations and workflows to maximize efficiency and compliance
- Respond to internal and external audits, client inquiries, and compliance requests
- Partner with our technology team to implement scalable, compliant legal processes
- Review and analyze performance metrics and client scorecards to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Serve as the subject matter expert on New York and New Jersey creditors’ rights law and provide guidance to both legal and non-legal stakeholders
Experience
The successful candidate will possess:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the State of New York and New Jersey (additional licensure in FL, TX, or VA is a plus, but not required)
- At least 1 - 2 years of experience as an Attorney required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven organizational, leadership, and legal process management abilities
- Comfortable working in a hybrid or in-office role in New York City, NY
- Adaptable, forward-thinking, and committed to compliance and excellence

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
