Outerbridge Law P.C. is seeking a sharp, motivated Associate Attorney to join our New York City practice. The ideal candidate is intelligent, dependable, and capable of managing assignments independently with minimal supervision.
This position requires regular in-person court appearances throughout all five boroughs of New York City.
Responsibilities:
- Appear in Housing Court and other courts throughout all five boroughs
- Handle landlord-tenant and housing litigation matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, affirmations, and legal correspondence
- Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings, conferences, and trials
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Manage deadlines and assigned matters independently
- Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively on behalf of clients
Qualifications:
- Admission to the New York State Bar and good standing
- Landlord-tenant or housing litigation experience strongly preferred
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and work with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and case-management skills
- Must live within reasonable commuting distance of New York City
- Must be available for full-time employment and able to begin promptly
- Must be willing and able to appear in person in all five boroughs
Compensation: $100-$200 per hour, commensurate with experience.
