About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Alarm System Lead Tester to oversee and perform functional testing, annual inspections, and commissioning of commercial fire alarm systems. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with NFPA codes, local AHJ requirements, and project specifications.The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert who can lead testing efforts, coordinate schedules, and communicate effectively with project managers, customers, and inspectors.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and execute functional testing, acceptance testing, and annual inspections of fire alarm systems.Develop, coordinate, and maintain testing schedules, ensuring all system components and phases are completed on time.Work closely with project managers, installation teams, and AHJs (Authority Having Jurisdiction) to coordinate inspections and final sign-offs.Verify device functionality, wiring integrity, signal paths, and system programming accuracy.Document test results, deficiencies, and corrective actions; provide clear and detailed reports to stakeholders.Train and guide junior technicians in proper testing and inspection procedures.Ensure all testing procedures comply with NFPA standards, local codes, and manufacturer standards.Communicate with customers and site contacts regarding testing timelines, access needs, and results.Support system troubleshooting and punch-list completion when needed.Position Requirements: 3 years’ experience in fire life safety testingHigh school diploma (or equivalent)Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.
