Location: Long Island City, Queens, NY
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the company’s payroll operations for approximately 700 employees, including a large union workforce. This position will manage a team of three and be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and proper administration of union payroll requirements.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of progressive payroll experience, with payroll management or supervisory experience.
- Significant experience with union payroll required.
- Construction industry payroll experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing and developing payroll staff.
- Strong understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, wage and hour regulations, and payroll compliance.
- Experience with Sage 300 or CMiC preferred but not required.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll reporting and reconciliations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential information and meet strict payroll deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
