About the Role:
We are seeking caring and dependable individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our New York clients. Our HCBS program is funded by the government and aims to provide support and resources for children dealing with mental, emotional, social, and health challenges after school and weekends.
As a DSP, you will receive case assignments that match your skill set and schedule. You can accept or decline these cases based on the child's specific needs, location, and available hours. This position offers flexibility, allowing you to create your work schedule while providing essential services at no cost to families.
Role Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for working with children on goals set by clinicians, which may include emotional regulation, social skills, and maintaining daily routines. Some cases may involve parent coaching, music or art therapy, and community outings.
Job Requirements:
- At least one year of experience working with children.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with special needs is a plus.
- Experience speaking multiple languages is a plus
Pluses:
- Prior experience as a caregiver.
- Prior experience working with special needs children.
Other Job Information:
- Most cases require between 10 to 20 hours per week, with options for additional hours.
- Services can be provided during school hours, after school, or on weekends, depending on availability.
- Pay rates vary based on rates based on experience, education, and qualifications.

New York Pay Range: $25/hr - $35/hr
