Triton's Sustainment group is a fast-paced, interdisciplinary engineering team focused on working on a wide variety of projects. The primary role of the Lab Technician is to assist in functioning, testing, and coating on various projects as directed.
Duties & Responsibilities
The employee is required to stand; walk; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Position Summary
Triton's Sustainment group is a fast-paced, interdisciplinary engineering team focused on working on a wide variety of projects. The primary role of the Lab Technician is to assist in functioning, testing, and coating on various projects as directed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct and monitor laboratory tests under the direction of engineering staff.
- Prepare test items prior to test, clean up following tests and prepare test apparatus for subsequent testing.
- Manage data transfer and process data using predefined scripts and procedures.
- Assist chemists with material synthesis.
- Clean work area, tools and equipment and perform other routine duties associated with day-to-day operations and equipment upkeep in the lab.
- Enrollment in curriculum for lab technician, chemistry, or chemical engineering at a community college or 4-year university level.
- Completion of 1 year of curriculum including 1 semester of chemistry wet lab experience.
- General familiarity with standard lab safety protocols.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Require 15-20 hours per week, flexible hours, but will need to be in-person and on a regular schedule.

- Lift 25-50 pounds.
- Climb stairs/ladders, stand, balance, stoop, squat, reach, and lift/carry objects.
- Twist, sit with back supported, head forward/flexed, head tilted/rotated.
- Work with arms extended below the waist, unsupported, elbows flexed, wrist supported and unsupported.
- Lift 10-20 pounds.
- Standing and walking.
- Wear PPE for hands, body, vision, and hearing protection.
