IT Solution Analyst (License Entitlement Management)

Trissential is looking for an IT Solution Analyst to join our client’s Software Asset Management (SAM) team. In this role, you’ll help maintain accurate license entitlement records, influence spend decisions, partner with sourcing and legal teams, and support a mature, enterprise-level SAMPro environment. Your Role & Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate license entitlement and contract data in ServiceNow SAM Pro
• Support software maintenance renewals by collaborating with sourcing and legal
• Conduct license true-ups, de-scoping, and reclamation activities
• Analyze software usage and spend to identify cost savings and optimization opportunities
• Assist with planning, budgeting, and demand forecasting
• Handle operational and ad hoc requests to support the broader SAM organization
• Present findings and insights to team members and leadership
• Engage with external vendors as needed through sourcing
  
  

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in IT operations, SAM, licensing, or analytical roles
• Experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, USU, or similar software asset management tools
• Strong understanding of software licensing models and entitlement management
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze End User License Agreements (EULAs)
• Proficiency in Excel; comfortable analyzing and presenting data
• Experience with Power BI for dashboard creation (or ability to learn quickly)
• Strong communication skills, with confidence in presenting findings to stakeholders
• Eager to learn, collaborative, and comfortable working across teams
  
  

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience in enterprise sourcing, procurement, or contract management
• Prior involvement in cost-savings initiatives or license optimization programs
• Familiarity with Jira
• Background in ITAM or SAM across any industry
  
  

Education & Certifications You Need

• No specific degree or certifications required
• Equivalent experience in software asset management or IT operations is highly valued
