Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections of in-process and completed cables using established methods, setups, and specifications.
- Utilize measuring devices, blueprints, diagrams, and inspection instructions to ensure product quality.
- Identify, accept, reject, or rework defective units or systems as necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with assemblers, engineers, and management to resolve quality issues.
- Follow and uphold quality standards in line with IPC-A-620 guidelines for soldered and crimped cable assemblies.
- Support the team by taking on assembly tasks related to inspection areas when needed.
- Document and track inspection findings and maintain accurate records.
- Proactively monitor and verify quality compliance in accordance with statistical or process control procedures.
- Communicate and interface diplomatically with various departments, customers, and stakeholders to address quality concerns.
- Maintain proficiency with PCs and modern software applications.
- Strong background in cable inspection and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with soldered and crimp inspections per IPC-A-620 standards.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, parts lists, and IPC manuals.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to maintain documentation and adhere to revision control protocols.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across diverse teams.
- Prior experience with inspection in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Proficiency with personal computers and relevant applications.
- No degree is required.
