Job Description
We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer Threat Detection to join a Security Operations team responsible for enhancing enterprise security monitoring, detection engineering, and cyber defense capabilities. This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing threat detections across cloud and on-premises environments to proactively identify, investigate, and respond to cyber threats.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, tune, and maintain threat detection rules and analytics.
Build and maintain security log ingestion and telemetry pipelines.
Develop detection logic using threat intelligence and attacker behaviors.
Collaborate with SOC analysts, incident responders, and security engineering teams.
Optimize detection rules to reduce false positives and improve alert quality.
Map detections to MITRE ATT&CK and other security frameworks.
Implement detection-as-code, automation, and scripting to improve operational efficiency.
Support SIEM, UEBA, EDR, SOAR, and security monitoring platforms.
Evaluate new security technologies and improve monitoring coverage.
Create documentation, playbooks, and operational procedures.
Ensure security monitoring aligns with compliance and security standards.
Continuously improve detection capabilities and cyber resilience.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
3 years of experience in Detection Engineering, Security Operations, SOC Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
Experience analyzing security logs, telemetry, and event data.
Hands-on experience with SIEM, UEBA, EDR, SOAR, or security analytics platforms.
Experience developing detection rules, automation, and detection-as-code pipelines.
Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, enterprise infrastructure, and cloud platforms.
Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and modern threat detection methodologies.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
