The Legal Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to a legal department, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations through effective document management, scheduling, recordkeeping, and administrative coordination. This role supports attorneys and legal staff by maintaining organized workflows, handling confidential information, and ensuring legal documentation is processed accurately and on time.
What You'll Do
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal department personnel.
- Manage incoming and outgoing legal correspondence.
- Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments and deadlines.
- Prepare, scan, file, copy, and organize legal documents and case files.
- Route and track documents using DocuSign or similar electronic signature platforms.
- Process, reconcile, and track legal invoices and expenses.
- Maintain organized legal records and confidential files.
- Track and maintain Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and related documentation, when applicable.
- Assist with board, committee, or executive meeting preparation and supporting materials.
- Coordinate communication and documentation across departments.
- Support special projects and perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of administrative support experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening, if required.
- Experience with FOIA processes, legal records management, or document management systems.
- Experience using DocuSign or other electronic document management platforms.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
