Intake & Conflicts Analyst
The Analyst will maintain client confidentiality and protect the firm’s reputation by conducting thorough conflicts searches, analyzing results, and providing recommendations on potential conflicts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conflicts analysis, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive conflicts of interest searches using internal and external databases to identify potential conflicts across engagements and matters.
• Analyze requests with an understanding of transactional, litigation, and governmental matters, ensuring submitted information is accurate and complete.
• Assess requests for conflict waivers, analyze the nature of conflicts and their potential implications, and provide recommendations to firm management, partners, and attorneys.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of conflict management strategies and procedures.
• Assist in the analysis of lateral candidates and support integration efforts.
• Participate in the maintenance of firm databases, including Intapp Open, Intapp Walls, Intapp Terms, and other systems used to manage and comply with client guidelines.
• Train and mentor junior intake staff and conflicts analysts.
• Stay up to date with laws, regulations, and best practices related to conflicts of interest and propose updates to internal conflict policies.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience; paralegal certificate a plus.
• 3 years as a conflicts analyst in a law firm or legal environment, with a demonstrated understanding of conflict resolution processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of ethical rules and risk management requirements governing conflicts of interest.
• Understanding of the type of work undertaken by a large law firm, along with an appreciation of commercial and legal terms.
• Experience with research applications such as Dun & Bradstreet, Capital IQ, and Hoover’s.
• Intapp Open/Walls/Terms experience a plus.
Experience in Group Life and Health more specifically in medical stop loss highly preferred.
Salary : $92,000 - $115,000
