Fund Accounting ManagerA company with locations in DC Metro area is looking for a hands-on Fund Accounting Manager to lead their team. Employees are eligible for a hybrid schedule and only have to be in-office 1 day a week and sometimes more with meetings.Responsibilities:Manage fund accountantMaintain investor documents/fund financial knowledge and be lead for investor requestsThorough understanding of legal documents and agreementsEnsure fund reporting is in complianceEnsure understanding of consolidated financial results; analysis and prep of variance analysisReview all investor notices and ensure accuracyMaintenance of investor capital accountsFund-carried interest calculation preparationManage cash flow needsOversee monthly closeEnsure accuracy of asset management, incentive fees, and exchange entriesConsolidated balance sheet reviewKnowledge of quarterly real estate valuations, deal transactions and impactIn charge of drafting financial statements for the funds and fund investor reportsDebt compliancePrepare annual budgets/reforecastsRequirements:Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/CPA preferred3-5 years of private equity fund accounting experience or fund accountingExperience working with institutional investorsReal estate experience preferredPublic Accounting experience is a plusThorough knowledge of US GAAP and investment accountingAbility to lead and manage a team
