About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Civil Litigation Associate Attorney with at least one year of hands-on litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing their own caseload, from case inception through resolution, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a full caseload independently, with minimal supervision
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions such as summary judgment
- Take and defend depositions
- Conduct legal research, write memoranda, and draft pleadings
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop litigation strategy
- Maintain attention to deadlines and detail throughout the litigation process
- Minimum of 1 year of civil litigation experience
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- California Bar admission required
- Experience in insurance defense and/or public entity defense
- Federal court and trial experience a plus, but not required
