You will serve as a SHIPWRIGHT in the MATERIAL HANDLING AND BERTHING BRANCH, SHIPWRIGHT SHOP of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

- Ability to build and maintain submarine drydocking equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, instructions, specifications, and docking worksheets to perform tasks within the shipwright trade.
- Ability to fabricate a variety of wooden articles and equipment, including shoring, cribbing, wedges, chart tables, work benches, plaque boards, and other shipwright-related items.
- Ability to possess a working knowledge of trade equipment, including transits, theodolites, surveyor's levels, and laser beam equipment.
- Ability to build and position cradles, hull blocks, bilge blocks, and other structures used to dry dock vessels.
- Ability to construct staging and scaffolding for elevated work, such as sandblasting, painting, and shaft removal.
