- Experience installing piping assemblies and components aboard submarines and planning and laying out the routing, placement, pitch, elevation, and operation of various piping systems and equipment.
- Experience operating hydraulic pipe benders to bend pipes that must pass NDT inspections and perform end preparation and mechanical fit up of piping joints.
- Experience performing hydrostatic testing on repaired and installed piping systems, host exchangers, and condensers.
- Experience piping system for welding and operating torch to soft solder, silver solder, and braze piping systems.

- Experience fabricating piping assemblies by cutting, bending, brazing, and beveling, and operating chemical flushing rigs to clean piping systems and components.
- Experience determining the adequacy of existing pipe hangers and replacing them when necessary.
- Experience removing, maintaining, and testing tank level indicators in accordance with established procedures.
- Experience assembling high pressure hose systems for hydraulics, oil, and water and cleaning hose assemblies by hot water flushes and inspections of flexible hoses and hose installations aboard submarines.
